I am sending you here more details about 17/ 18 April weekend event.
Join us on Mt Ozren hiking weekend tour !!. Spend two days out of big city in a peaceful countryside. You will explore Ozren Mountain, see a couple hundred years old water mill where locals still grind their crops, meet some local people and their customs, ruins of medieval town of Soko Grad and after walk relax your muscles in a hot Turkish bath. We are sure that you will enjoy it.

Soko Banja is situated in the valley created by Mt. Rtanj (1560 m) and Mt. Ozren (1117 m), at an altitude of 400 m above sea level. This renowned spa and climatic and tourist resort is one of the most frequently visited places in our country. This might be due to the fact that organized tourism started here nearly 150 years ago. The thermal mineral springs of Soko Banja are  thermal alkaline water. The temperature of the water ranges between 28 and 45.50 C. The spa helps in healing bronchial asthma, chronic hepatitis, psychoneurosis, neurasthenia, lighter forms of high blood pressure, chronic rheumatism, as well as sciatica and post traumatic conditions. Beside medical usage bathing is very popular among people for relaxation. Most of our guests use 20 minutes bathing to relax their muscles after hiking.
Soko Grad is founded in 1st century. by Romans. The medieval town of Soko Banja was built during the 13th and the 14th century on the foundations of the Romans settlement. In 1412. the town was destroyed by the Turks conquerors, led by the outlaw Musa. The bulwark, the citadel in the upper town of  Soko Grad, and a well-preserved cistern have been declared the cultural monument of great importance.

ACCOMMODATION & MEALS
We will be situated in a private pension in Soko Banja. Our pension is located in the center of spa, in pedestrian area. It is one of the most beautiful house in the town, historical building protected by government . All rooms are with toilets, TV and central heating. 
The pension has very charming restaurant with local and national specialties. All meals (dinner on Saturday and breakfast and lunch on Sunday) will be served in pension's restaurant. 

TOUR SCHEDULE

Saturday: Arrival in Soko Banja at 11:00 AM. Check-in and registration. About noon we will start our hiking tour. Our goal is Monastery Sveti Arhangel. Total hike will last about 5- 6 hours/ dinner at 8 pm.
Sunday: Before breakfast we will bath in old Turkish bath. Breakfast at 9 am. At 10 am - hiking to Soko Grad. Soko Grad is founded in 1st century by Romans to protect territory from attacks. There is not much left from Roman town in present. Ruins of Soko Grad have typical Serbian medieval fortifying site/ lunch at 2pm/ departure after lunch. 

WHAT TO BRING:
We suggest to bring with you: comfortable hiking shoes, winter jacket, rain jacket, sweater, cap, gloves, few pairs of socks, water bottle, small daily backpack, lunch for Saturday (sandwich, pastry...), bathing suit for Turkish Bath, some light shoes or sport shoes for the pension

TOUR COST

Tour cost is 100Euros (10.000din) per person which includes:

- one night in pension
- dinner on Saturday, breakfast and lunch on Sunday 
- two days guiding service 
- snacks and refreshing drinks during the hiking tour 
- use of ACE walking poles 
- bathing in the Turkish bath
- photos from this weekend burned on CD (we will mail you during the next week)

Transportation to/ from Soko Banja is not included. We could organize the transportation what we charge extra. Single room supplement is 10 Euros

If you gather group of five or more people you have special group discount of 10% 

HOW TO BOOK

If you are interested in this tour please book your place as soon as possible. Booking dead line is Thursday - April 15th. To book a place for the tour you should send a deposit of 30% of the tour cost. If we do not receive deposit before mentioned dead line, we will consider that as your cancellation. - Do you need our transport to/ from Sokobanja and how many places do you need? (extra charge)
- If you are coming by your own car do you mind to give a ride to other guests and if so, how many available places do you have?
